During our three-night family getaway at Scafell Hotel, we felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and attentive, and it was clear why they earned accolades for their exceptional breakfast offerings. The Cumbrian breakfast and Manx kippers were standouts that energized our days of exploration. Our family enjoyed the blend of traditional and modern comforts, with the lovely residents’ lounge featuring a cozy fireplace being a great spot for post-adventure discussions. After hiking around Scafell Pike, we savored the relaxed environment of the hotel, where we could unwind and share stories of our day. We also took the opportunity to explore Derwentwater, where we rented a rowing boat and drifted to one of the charming islands. Those moments on the water were memorable for all of us. The hotel’s location is perfect for families keen on outdoor activities, making it easy to embark on various adventures. It’s dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us, as our furry friend was warmly received too. Scafell Hotel suits families looking for a comfortable and hospitable base amidst the beauty of the Lake District.
